BLONDING & COLOR AFTERCARE

-
We recommend the use of a shower filter to protect your hair from harsh chemicals & minerals found in our local water. This can cause dryness, damage, and discoloration to your hair.
-
We also recommend using professional shampoos, conditioners, & hair care products as cheaper quality ones can damage your hair and give undesirable results.
-
Whether you're a blonde or brunette, unwanted brassy tones can appear after a certain amount of washes. Justine recommends a purple shampoo to keep the color fresh, but be sure to only use it every few washes to avoid dullness that too much use of purple shampoo can cause.
-
After you wash your hair, towel or air dry as much as possible before using a blow dryer.
-
Using a blow dryer, dry the hair roughly 50-75%.
-
The use of heat protectants is recommended to protect your hair from thermal damage. If you don't use a heat protector, you run the risk of not only damaging your hair with a blowdryer or flat iron, but it can change your color and cause brassiness.
-
It is recommended to use a leave in treatment to ensure your hair stays manageable and healthy.
-
Starting at the ends and working your way toward the scalp, use a flat or round brush to detangle and smooth the hair.
